We won 5-1. A fantastic performance from everyone. Went a goal down after 5 minutes but battled back to lead 4-1 at half time. In the 2nd half Rovers controlled the game and added a 5th through a superb solo effort from Ella Hitchcock. Fair play to Bristol Union, they gave their all, but the Rovers Ladies were too strong for them. Two trophy's bagged in 3 days. A fantastic end to the season. Now the hard work starts as we prepare for next season.

It was a memorable performance - winning in the grand manner, despite conceding an unlucky goal early on. Stars all over the pitch.

Pick of the goals was number 3 - brilliant counter culminating with defence splitting killer pass. Deserved to win the match on its own. Ella's sol effort for number 5 was special too

Only low point was the burger van. The grey disk I consumed was either Badger or Roadkill. Not sure which. Didn't stay with me for long ...

I watched the game in its entirety yesterday and I must say the through pass by Kirsty Richardson for the third goal and the individual effort by Ella Hitchcock for the fifth were top drawer.

interesting to read that elsewhere the ladies game is getting more and more competitive;and that ladies headbutting each other is coming into the game.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
