Just looked on the main website and it confirmed the Carol Embrey is closed; but the Green Man is open.

Reckon I will pop up shortly to watch this game, given I will miss a few games over the next month. How many supporters would we get for this type of game?

Yes- I enjoyed the 3-1 win this evening. Plenty of fast slick football with a deserved 3-0 lead at half time. Bristol Manor Farm came into the game a little more in the second half but apart from their single goal they rarely threatened. A solid & thoroughly deserved FGR victory.

Was a good game, One or two stand out lads who can't be far from the first team squad. (Anderson + gabbiadini)

Good to see ady pennnock and some of the first team there as well

Was an enjoyable evenings football, felt the boy's were in control throughout and Merchant had a pretty quiet game in the FGR goal.

Gabbiadini took both goals well, and the lad who took the free kick in the first half which cannoned off the bar deserved a little more as it was a great strike.

Bring on Yate Town in the 1st qualifying round !

Interesting game, FGR definitely toiled against a very good Yate side on the night, with the home side enjoying lots of possession, but didn't make the chances they had count. Merchant made a particularly good save at 0-0 whilst Yate were on top. FGR looked to play on the counter and with the pace of Gabbiadini and they fashioned the better chance but were well thwarted by the Yate goalkeeper. It felt like who ever got the first goal would win it and thankfully Stokes finally managed to get that breakthrough, Gabbiadinis goal was the cherry on the top really at the death.

Onto the next round !

I thought Stokes and Gabbiadini impressed in the preseason friendlies, as of course did McCrorie & Baldwin. Scottie you are playing a blinder!

Apparently Gabbiadini has already scored over 20 goals this season. Quite some going that.

He looked really good in the highlights of a game played at TNL, powerful and accurate shooting from some distance out...one for the future?

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
