Under 14s at Lilleshaw

Forget the big disappointment of Wembley for a moment and congratulate our under 14 boys who traveled to lilleshaw on saturday
for their JPL shield final against a very good Peterborough side. Having taken an early lead through Adam Bloomfield the boys fell behind
to two good goals and the half time score failed to reflect the story of the game so far. The second half was a different picture, they kept the ball down
had more control and it paid dividends with two more goals from Adam and an own goal giving them a 4 2 win. It was a lovely day in sunny
Shropshire and parents and grandparents enjoyed a really nice day out at the old FA headquarters.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
