FOREST GREEN ROVERS - 3 AEK BOKO - 1
This first versus second clash at Thornhill park saw Rovers take the spoils and secure the league title at the same time.
A Sophie Okey header from a Rhian Robbins corner opened the scoring for Forest Green on 17 minutes, and then a largely uneventful first half came to life right at the ens with 2 goals in 2 minutes. Firstly Boko broke away through the middle and calmly slotted home, and then from the restart the home team went straight back up the pitch, and Sian Towler had a speculative effort from 25 yards that slipped through the keepers fingers and over the line.
The second half saw both defences on top, with very little goalmouth action, until a quick exchange of passes saw Charlie Rowlands fire home a third, and league title clinching third goal with just 10 minutes left, to give a 3-1 final score, and a celebration for Rovers ladies at the final whistle.
