FGR League Position 2017

Postby Pitchfork » Sat Jul 23, 2016 3:33 pm

FGR League position 2017 sponsored by John Whiffen

We used to have to fight to survive in the Conference, then we achieved 10th for 3 consecutive years...then 5th and finally 2nd in 2016.

Will this be our year to claim the top spot? Or will we struggle to match the confidence shown in us by the tipsters and the betting companies?

Last season five predicted our 2nd place and Linfield won the competition on the tie breaker. The previous year Tim Barnard had it spot on....5th with eight games lost, after a year (2014) when NO-ONE predicted the very predictable 10th, our third in a row!

You have the remaining friendlies and five league games (3 at home) to look at the squad and see the early results but all predictions must be in before our 6th game, Maidstone away on 27th August. No editing allowed after posting

So what will be our league position after our 29/4/17 game away at York and as a tie breaker, how many league matches will we lose?

Post predictions below

eg 3rd (8 games lost)

As soon as you are ready to predict the August results, here's the thread

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
