Top Five in National League 2017

Postby Pitchfork » Thu Dec 08, 2016 8:51 pm

It's back, probably the most popular of all the prediction competitions

Tip your TOP FIVE ( IN PREDICTED ORDER) by January 1st 2017- a good Christmas game!

.Whoever has the most teams ( in whatever order) will win the competition, sponsored by Pitchfork

. If more than one person predicts the most number of teams, the outright winner will be decided by the number of teams they have in the correct positions

.Competition free to those who have joined the prediction league or you can pay £5 and enter this and the remaining monthly competitions Jan,Feb,Mar,April (January entries in before Torquay kick off on 1/1/16) Leave the fiver at Reception in an envelope addressed to Pitchfork by 1st Jan.

Last years competition attracted over 12,000 views and several fans had 4/5 teams correct. Voodoobluesman won it with 4 clubs correct, 3 in their correct places.

I'm going to wait and see how Dover perform at TNL to see if they've still got it. If they do, then I'd even have a bet on them winning the play-offs.

Just bumping this up - one more day to get your predictions in for this and January fixtures

To date

Tranmere, Lincoln and Barrow are out front as favourites for the top five

FGR come next, followed by Dover and Daggers

Odd votes for the final two play off places for Macc,Aldershot, and Chester.

Tranmere are significantly in front with most votes for Champions, with only Lincoln,Barrow and FGR picking up other votes.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
