I am hoping that this will be a really good month for Rovers, but some of those teams scrapping around at the relegation end of the table will have more reason than most to try hard, and it will certainly be no cakewalk !

Good luck everyone. :D

Before end of season I'd like to thank you Pitchfork for all the hard work you've done for the past decade on this competition.
Phil (Pitchfork) has raised over £4,000 which is reimbursed back into the SC / Ambassadors / FGR Ladies.
Very, very commendable.

I therefore have a very high standard to maintain when I take over at beginning of next season.
I've already arranged an excel sheet to help make sure I get things right and hopefully make my life a bit easier.

Thanks to all who have already donated some of their winnings for next season's competition.
I sincerely hope to have as many if not more players entering. INCLUDING the Competition Donors.
Phil will continue running the annual competitions.
I will talk to him on best method of collecting subs and let everybody know what we have decided.

BTW I will maintain the separate 'match forecast' competition with table and results in which anybody can post comments about the upcoming game.

Thanks for those kind words OTC. Just to say most of the money raise in recent years has gone straight to the club in player sponsorship.

We can start a thread soon about subs for next year, but already the following has been carried over to next year towards subs

Voodoo bluesman £12-50 from March winnings

Games come quickly over Easter, can we keep this winning streak going?

30 say yes with a home win against CHESTER, just a couple for the draw

Good Friday crowds hard to predict with counter attractions & holidays, but the win against Tranmere will add a few hundred to the gate - should be 1600+, though that's at the lower end of the forecasts. A crowd of 2000 would be great for the lads

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
