Ken Boulton losses contract

Postby John Whiffen » Sun Jul 08, 2018 11:36 am

I understand that Ken Boulton has lost the contract to ferry FGR supporters to away grounds.

I feel this is a great shame after Ken who has contributed so much to the club over many years and has been rewarded with a Lifetime Membership.

As a member of the Travel Club who attends nearly every away game I am not aware of any issue with Ken.

Perhaps somebody from the Supporters Club could respond.

Great shame if true. An away trip on the Kendo Express was more like a family day out. Who is going to replace it?

I did learn a little bit of news concerning Ken.
He was down in Bristol at a cricket match when he momentarily turned away from play to talk to another spectator and the ball was smashed in his direction. It hit him on the wrist and broke the bone.
A month later Ken is still in plaster and unable to drive, even his own car.
I'm sure we all wish him well and a speedy recovery.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
