no surprise that no more strikers will be signed .

maybe a slight surprise that no other positions will be 'strengthened either ' , albeit has the cost of taking christian dior back -great as that it - possibly had an impact on any other plans/positions ?
i have no idea;albeit i concur with MC that it is already a good squad regardless

Interesting to hear Coops say that we have a small squad of 18 and looking to release 2 or 3.

I suppose we've could all pretty much predict who those 2 or 3 might be but we have 24 players registered I believe.

Of these I believe 15 are contracted through to next season so in many ways, we have a really strong core to take through into next year. Not sure what the summer will bring of course. If we don't make EFL1 this season, I imagine we'll be recruiting to make it a certainty next.

Think it's actually 19, the 18 involved v Northampton minus Archibald and Morris with Doidge and the 2 new signings added?

A bit on the small side but imagine that's all we can afford, so hopefully there won't be too many injuries.

Quality wise it's very strong.

A small number but we do appear to have cover in all areas, perhaps central midfield the least covered. Paul Digby’s presence and versatility is key.

Wow, steady on. There are a lot of clubs with more financial power than us thinking the same. Still, nothing wrong with optimism and ambition

Understand your sentiments Tommo but it's not just about spending power. It about building a coherent quality team and that seems to be happening.

Full credit to Coops. Losing him would probably be just as bad, if not worse, than losing Doidge or Brown IMO

I saw yesterday that Shortwood announced they have 2 FGR players coming in on loan,no names given out as yet though.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
