Hope we are keeping an eye on Brad Colllins situation. Would love to sign him now he’s released, though probably has sights set on a higher level.

Did you actually watch Brad Collins! Made a few camera saves but made mistake after mistake cost us minimum of 15 points and almost got us relegated. No way near good enough.

Brad Collins has just signed for Barnsley....

Rated as one of the top keepers in league 1 last season, now signed for a Championship club. Clearly no way near good enough for league 2....

Good luck to him.
I hope they appreciate him and make him feel more welcome than we did.

I think people in general have unrealistic expectations of 'keepers, particularly at lower levels. Their mistakes are also magnified as they can be directly linked to goals, even though you could probably trace most goals back to mistakes made by outfield players.

Can only judge on what I saw and he was woeful for us. He has obviously improved. Ward however was much better.

Goalkeepers make mistakes at all levels - tho' the standard at the WWC seems extraordinarily high. That said, maybe our philosophy doesn't help. Basically taking youngsters who are looking to get experience :?:

If Collins can be said to nearly get us relegated then I'm sure that there's a case to say that Sanchez cost us promotion.

I can see a 'fans favourite ' developing here .

what a pleasant man he seems to be from his introduction video on official site

at the end-most players say thank you to the interviewer -all good.

somehow Ebou's 'thank you so much ' seemed really heartfelt and gave just a little extra on a few levels

Agreed Michael, seems a very likable friendly and genuine young man who seems very happy to be here and keen to make his mark, looking forward to seeing how he progresses with us.

Agree with the above, comes across really well in the interview, a real cheeky chappie...can't wait to see what he can do on the pitch.

Yes, nice interview and nice chap. But is he a replacement for Jordan Simpson rather than Reece Brown? Time will tell but I get the sense he is a box to box tackling sort rather than creative hub (at least, initially).

I would expect him to play alongside Winnie and be the ball winner in midfield. Grubb or Williams could play in the No10 role. Winnie can also play the attacking mid position and grab a few goals and James or Digby can play deeper. We have a few options and might just have to play slightly differently, you can’t get a like for like replacement for someone like Reece

Will be good to see fresh blood in midfield and wonder where this leaves James, not sure what he contributes to the team, would have thought he would have been another player moved on.

He was brilliant for Dagenham the season we went up. Newport are looking good for this coming season.

I agree. With their FA cup money they would be my favourites for promotion

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
