Thanks for that, OTC! Excellent.

One point - Mills got the red card at Bradford, not Winchester.

Matt Mills got the red Tom not Jo :)

On paper quite a tough month, so 10 points is a decent return. Keep that ppg up and we'll get 78, 4 more then last season.

Useful stats OTC, thanks

2 good cup performances and top ten all month in League Two, that's a decent start considering we have been without the talented George Williams.

Into September now, so final call for anyone else to have a stab at predicting our league position at the end of the season - competition open to all

We didn't concede a single goal in the league in September. 5 straight clean sheets, a very unusual and impressive effort. Let's keep it up.

Its remarkable and long may it continue. Huge credit to defensive midfield but, especially, Rawson, Bernard, Mills, Kitching.

These are the teams that occupy the first six positions at the moment in EFL2.

1 - Exeter
2 - Crewe
3 - Cheltenham
4 - FGR
5 - Swindon
6 - Newport

Looking at OTC's introduction to the prediction thread for this coming Saturday it struck me that FGR have only played one of the other 5 in the 11 games so far this season - that was Newport at home when we lost 0-2.
So I wondered how that compared to the other 5. Have we had "easier" games so far this season?

This is how it pans out :

So Newport ahead here with good results from 4 games already, while FGR just one game so far which was a loss.
How FGR perform against our 5 rivals may well have a big influence on our season's progress.
We could be a little clearer on this at the end this month, October, when we can add results against Exeter and Crewe to our list. 4 or more points would be great!

Extend that to the top 8 though and we have beaten Grimsby and Bradford

Great stats OTC. Thank you.

Random request. Not sure if you can get this data easily but can you get hold of a list of the number of different players who have made first team league appearances for each League 2 club?
I am intrigued as to how we compare.
Cheers.

Don't know where you got your goalscorers from OTC, that adds up to 39 league goals and we have only scored 35 to start with. J Mills has only scored 7 league goals and 1 cup goal, and Stevens has scored 3 league and 4 cup.

Morton hasn't scored a goal

Needs rechecking.

I copied it straight from this website:
https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/fore ... oalscorers
Sussed it.
My figures include 4 penalty goals against Charlton in League Cup.
Bizarre because we scored 5 in that game. Suppose the site ran out of space to include 5th player. :|
Tue 13 Aug A Charlton Athletic Carabao Cup 1 (0)5 - 3(0) 2,693 McCoulsky, Morton, Adams, Grubb
Forest Green Rovers win 5-3 on penalties

I can only recommend same site and let you scan results for yourself.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
