Non-league? They can be so unpredictable.

Easy to say an easy home game, but not always that easy.

Someone from lower EFL2 at home?
My mileage; yours may vary, of course.....

A home tie against anyone but lower league will be better.
Or away to anyone within an hour from London by train. Also prefer lower league.

I've booked time off work for 1st and 2nd rounds so it will be good to go to at least one of them.

Is Bye just Bury badly spelt ?

FGR have not had a decent run of good luck in the FA Cup draws for years.
About time we had a home fixture against lower non-league team or even that Bye.

And if we are drawn away let it be at Cheltenham, where the players would think it a home match with massive Green Army support drowning out the home supporters.

I too would prefer a home draw against a minnow. We are more consistent than we used to be and would win I think. Failing that Bristol Rovers at home would be fun, get a TV payday and then focus on the league :)

Yes, but I have a premonition that it will be Barrow here, after they have beaten Solihull on Saturday, or they get the Bye.

Out of curiosity, does anyone believe in lucky numbers and would they consider this one lucky or not.

If we are drawn at home to Bristol Rovers 18 will be a lucky number.
If we are drawn away to Fleetwood 18 will be unlucky

A home tie would be nice - or for me Chichester,Carshalton, Kingstonian, and after replays - Sutton Utd ( revenge ) and Woking away would be easy to get to. Roll on Monday......

Chippenham are the only "local" non league side left in the competition, I am sure they will be looking for someone like Sunderland at home, I hope they get a good one. For us a home tie against a lower non league club will be fine.

I think the draw is north / south so hopefully we can avoid Carlisle, Barrow and Sunderland away.

Does anyone know ?

Non league at home or away please. But Bury/Bye preferred. £36k and a week off.

It's not North/South.
All the names are put into the same hat.

That's right - I for one am still adjusting to the fact that we are not having to go through any qualifying round for the main 1st round draw. When we were in the National League the last qualifying round was regionalised but now we are with the relatively big boys straight away. I'm still hoping for a little team at home but Sunderland or Bristol City at home would be great too.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
