Not just a fully masted sailing ship on the Argyle and Riccay badges, but the very same one: the Mayflower! While the ship sailed to the New World from Plymouth, several of the Pilgrim Fathers were from Billericay, and numerous things around the town are named in their honour (or, indeed, after the Mayflower)...

All that said, I doubt we'll manage quite the same result against the Pilgrims that we did against their Essex brethren.

FGR to win 3-1, Aitchinson, 3,050

I expect this to be a very tough game there will be a noisy load of away fans too.

Who is going to be the loudest Green Army?!

I'll leave my prediction until shortly before match (but won't be editing any posts and won't be risking a joker for this one! )

Thank you.
I did look at picture and thought they were very similar.
Plymouth - pilgrims - Mayflower - yes
but not the Billericay connection.

Came across this post on Plymouth forum:

"With both teams having green team strips, and Argyle's away strip also green, presumably Argyle be wearing its 3rd strip - the black 'un.

Also, given the shared colours and FGR only offering vegan food and drink options, "come on you greens" will have an entirely different context."

Our club photographer Shane Healey is known on forum as STROUD GREEN, but a Plymouth season ticket holder who lives 500 yards from TNL, also calls himself STROUD GREEN!

Another Plymouth supporter from Gloucestershire resides in Forest of Dean.

Credit to both distant supporters on actually attending games to support club.
However FGR does have at least two ST holders who live in Kent.

Club are putting out messages that the game is almost a sell out with nearly 1,000 away fans so I'm upping my crowd forecast up to 3,567.

Didn't want to start a new thread so thought I would ask the question here.

I'm committed to travelling up from Cornwall for the game but it's been raining hard for two days here. Will this match survive given an anticipated break from the rain over next two days?

I didn't buy a ticket on line for this reason so hoping I can buy a couple of tickets at the ground in North stand on match day.

Fingers crossed.

Hi two guns, according to the weather forecasts there is no significant rain forecasted for either today or tomorrow so I have no doubts that the game will be played.
According to my friend, he bought tickets recently and was told there are few left, wether that was referring to the East stand I don’t know. I suggest you ring the club for an accurate answer.

⚠️ TICKETS UPDATE ⚠️

Less than 90 home tickets remain in the seated East Stand for Saturday's game against @Only1Argyle.

Make sure to get yours soon to avoid disappointment, or there are still tickets available in both the North and South stands.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
