On a more positive note I have managed to complete and file my belated tax return whilst listening to the commentary and it has been accepted by HMRC :D

I just can't see how MC has any credibility, fine margins indeed.

Shame the season has been so ruined by tinkering with a decent team who were near top of table so recently... poor players selection... d of f role counterproductive?

Top 3 (Swindon, Exeter, Crewe) who we were battling with not that long ago all look like winning tonight.

Scary thing is, a lot of the teams below us are only a couple of wins away from our current points total. If this form continues, we could find ourselves somewhere near 15th or 16th in a few games time.

At least we scored against 10 men and put away a penalty tonight.

Our one style has been found out and MC hasn't got anything else. Tinkering with the players only makes it worse. Five home games lost on the trot, something has to change as this is an all right group of players. Does MC identify them though? Or is it this head of recruitment?

Scoring 2 goals and the game ending ‘closer’ than 3-0,3-1 makes it look not so bad now. Hopefully we look at another loss rather than a close finish.

I suggest we save money and not bother building a new stadium. I mean we can’t win at home so let’s just play all out games away from home.
. Goals are dreams with deadlines.
.Think little goals and expect little achievements. Think big goals and win big success.
.Goals are not only absolutely necesary to motivate us. They are essential to really keep us and dreams alive.

Why oh why can’t we play for 90 mins like we do in the first and last 10?
Oh well. I think we can write off this season and start thinking about building for the next. Let the academy boys get some regular football.

1 point from the last 5 games.
EVERY OTHER club in League 2 has more than that.
There is no 'I' in team

No comment until I calm down in the morning. (Perhaps others should do the same).

Attendance: 1682 (215 from Port Vale)

Man-of-the-Match: Ebou Adams

My imaginary cat has gone into hiding.

Such a shame to see that attendance. Really feels a low point for us.

So close to 3-3 though so well done for the players to keep going until the end!

Doubtful. He's got still got the air of man safe in his job. I doubt he really cares tbh. Wonder who'll get the blame this evening. Ref a bit as he was shocking... But will be interesting to hear the copper blame game again.

Remember. Wait for the "listen" and "I've got broad shoulders".

Need to look up arrogance in the dictionary again... Maybe Copper is a reference?

Not a bad shout. No point sinking into mediocrity paying other clubs' players. 13 games or whatever it is gives us chance to see if our own could do better next year.

Didn’t go tonight, thought I’d watch it on tv, first game missed at home, other than illness, injury or work, for many a year. The perspective I got was one of slow, pedestrian, lazy football, not the players fault, obviously coached to do this, be patient and keep procession , only trouble is this does not work! We played well in last 7 mins when shackles came off, so obvious to everyone, imo, we can play football when allowed, but this style we are playing week to week must be so so easy for opposing managers to set up against. Really glad we are away now for a bit as wont be tempted to go. Players are being destroyed by this manager.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
