Brilliant answer!

...only trouble is that I think Mr Klopp might notice if half his squad do a disappearing act.

Is that a true definition of clutching at straws?

Hi Foggy,

Clutching at straws indeed.

I'll take that over another defeat and 8 pages of purgatory on the match day thread.

I keep a record of the scores of every Rovers game I have seen, Tuesday evening was game 379, which goes back nearly 15 years.

In that time I have only seen Rovers lose five consecutive games once before, also all at home, and that was during our first season in the league...even during the days when we were struggling against relegation with Dave Hockaday in charge it didn't get near to that.

Oldham's ground is on top of a hill with big stands we will need big players that dont get lost in the mud or blown over.
Oh dear we have no big strong forwards.

Kitchen in midfield.Stevens and collins upfront.

Winchester rt back not dawson.

Conrad will be well blasted though.....lol

So its
Logan for ballast as all stroud league games will be off
winchester mckinlay rawson stokes

Adams dawson kitchen aitcheson

Collins Steven's

Anyone left on the bench

Or we play all the liverpool kids

Smith
Winch Rawson McGinley Stokes
Kitching
Adams Dawson Mondal
March Collins

Would play 4132. Very physically strong team. Kitching can play the quarter back role as currently best passer In team. Shame to lose Winch from midfield, but little option. Chose Mondal over H due more pace. Big blow will be if Adams is not fit enough to start. May then leave us touch light weight.

When we played Oldham they ran out of puff after about 60 minutes, our players were young, fit and energetic and ran rings round them for the last half hour. Maybe go for the same tactic tomorrow, unless they have changed radically or upped their fitness levels since last summer, and play the youngest fittest team we can...or at least save our subs for as long as possible then up the tempo.

I'd suggest;
J.Cousteau in goal.
Across the back; D.Goodhew, T.Daley, M. Spitz, S.Redgrave.
Middle; C.Pugwash, C.Birdseye, R.Adlington, Nemo.
Up top; M.Dick, Nelson.

 ;)

Bit of a difficult one, what with all the injuries. Maybe a 3-4-1-2 :?:

Thomas or Smith
Faz -- Kitch -- Stokes
Scoble -- Adams or Dawson -- Winnie -- McGinley
Aitch or Williams
Collins or Stevens -- March

My preferences for the ors probably Thomas, Collins & Dawson and Williams if now deemed fit enough for a game

But what do I know about a football team
My mileage; yours may vary, of course.....

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
