Gloucester Senior cup

Postby Bill Shankly » Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:08 pm

Kingshill 7.45 tuesday night
Cirencester v fgr u23s on the town fc website.

Maybe the 4 or 5 on the naughty step might play too along with one of our young strikers...confidence boost needed.

Hopefully some light relief from the efl.

Will could this be put on the website please.

I would go full strength. It's a chance to get a confidence boosting win in a cup semi final. Hopefully get a couple of our strikers a much needed goal.

I agree. Stevens, Collins and March should all get some game time I think. Any sort of goal from them would help their confidence. On the other hand, if they play and don't score...… whoops!

Covil- 71'.

FGR tweet ; "Good work from the triallist (8) down the left flank and his low ball is controlled in the box by Covil before he pokes home into the corner."

Anyone know where the final will be?

I'm assuming Glos FA at Almondsbury?

So the triallist who scored was Callum Watts. I didn't go last night. Was he any good?

He played but not the scorer. It was Marcus Day from Bristol City.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
