Has left the club by mutual consent.

Shame, I quite liked him. I'm sure he'll do well elsewhere.

Good luck LJ. Did very well when he came in but fell down the pecking order with many misplaced passes. Not everyone's favourite player but another midfielder I liked to watch.

Was excellent on his day and like the above, enjoyed watching him. There's a talent there that somebody will benefit from, I'm sure.

Given he's had the luxury of a wage-packet for doing nothing and we have the usual mutual-consent thing, wondering if he has found a deal elsewhere.
My mileage; yours may vary, of course.....

A player who looked really good when given time on the ball. Prob my last seasons player of season up until Xmas. Has a bit of everything for a midfielder. Got at least another couple of good seasons in him.

Lloyd James signs on at Bath City. Not out of a job for long then!
Good luck Lloyd.

Great signing for Bath City. I really don't know what went wrong. Up till Xmas he looked a classy player, but he just seemed to lose his touch after that.

Best of luck Lloyd.

A question for the head coach.

I was referring to Xmas 2018. He was a key player up till then, but only played sporadically after that, and then disappeared.

He had a really bad game away somewhere (Stevenage?) and that was it. But he had been a good player for us up until then and could have been again. Like others, not sure what went wrong.

Shame he has wasted a year given his age and that he hasn’t got many years left

Surprised he's gone to Bath. I was expecting a higher club. He's a good player and had a bit of creativity too. Such a shame. Good luck to him.

Is this the Copper effect again?

Another example of how somewhat average players are suddenly regarded as much better when they've gone.

I agree he did ok in the first half of 2018 but like many of our midfield players over the last 2-3 years he can't tackle, can't head a ball and can't shoot. Sorry but doesn't make him a player worth keeping in my book !!

He was a good footballer but lacked pace he was not first pick at exeter.
Drop down to Bath might work well for him till he retires from football.

Why do we give these at best squad
players 2 or even 3 year contracts.
We really do seem to have a strange policy of who we sign in the hope we unearth quality from non league or league one and two cast offs.
You need some players of proven ability.

I think “talent” is overstating it somewhat
As I recall Exeter weren’t exactly in tears when he left !

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
