Good news this evening from chairman Dale Vince, Eco Park is not being called in by the government. It CAN go ahead.

We can push on now with more detailed designs and next steps. We are on our way...

New stadium finally gets the nod.

At last, some top good news to detract from the current doomsday forecasts from the domestic and international media. :)

At last the right decision has been reached.

Well done all of the people involved. Your efforts are much appreciated.

Onwards and upwards.

Special congratulations to Dale, another hard won victory.

Fantastic news. Really exciting to get a step closer to the new stadium. Also looking forward to hearing what sustainable transport plans for fans are announced in due course too.

Keep Calm and Carry on.

One Hurdle Crossed, plenty more to follow...

Talking of keeping calm and carrying on, the Supporters Club Quiz Night is tomorrow night.

Don't let the weather or other factors put you off a trip up to The New Lawn tomorrow evening. £5 a head and something to take the mind off Swindon Away on Saturday.

I have a question on behalf of others who are thinking of attending: what is stance of the supporters’ club on Mark Cooper? They want to be sure what their £5 is going towards.

EE, check out the FGR Quiz thread for answers to questions you've posed.

Good news, lets push on and get the Eco park site passed on the other side of the road along with the canal re-routing. This development will be the answer to the noise emitted from the stadium towards William Morris College, ie forming a sound barrier between the two. Let's hope our MP comes on board now and pushes the Eco park forwards.

It used to be cheap. It used to be fun (Not for a while TBH) and until the new stadium at least it was local. Is the name going to change? How about Eastington FC or, even better, Stroud FC - that should pull them in.

Oh come on!!!

Forest green rovers is a Stroud District club wherever you like it or not. Stop thinking small and in the past.

DV had stated on record in front of a Supporter's meeting that the name Forest Green Rovers remains.
Makes perfect sense now that FGR has become an eco club.

I imagine the supporters' club 'stance' is that Mark Cooper is the Head Coach of Forest Green Rovers Football Club.

In some people’s opinions no, in others yes.

Only one that really counts though.

Excellent.

Let's hope the good news continues on the pitch tomorrow.

Back the boys, and back our manager. Let's see some unity.

Good news (on balance) about the stadium.?

We’ve got to think as long term as DV and not worry about short term blips.

I don’t get why some people think that having a manager they don’t like much means they have to withdraw their support from the club. We and the club, in some form, will be around long after MC.

Anyway, he got us promoted and given us a decent platform in EFL2. He’s bound to be sacked or move in one day but why not support the club meanwhile?
