Real acid test to see if we really are back on track, against a big physical side at home, the sort of game we have often struggled in. Win and it really does suggest things are turning round. There is a fair chance that if we can win this we could go back within 6 points of the top 7, with a game in hand. Still a lot to play for.

Disappointed to be missing the next 2 home games as hoping this upturn in form will continue!

FGR to win 2-1 - Stevens to score and 2480 in attendance.

They usually win when I miss except carlisle, when gill was in hospital.

Northampton are big strong physical side who will bully us...rain forecast so not a good pitch.

So I am going fgr 0.cobblers 2.... 2278

Sounds about right. FGR 0 Northampton 1. No scorer. Crowd of 2334. Joker.

Not sure if the game will be going ahead, but if so it might be played behind closed doors which will probably be the same for remainder of season.
And if the game does go ahead it is almost guaranteed that attendances will be down big time.
Therefore with all the uncertainty attendance figures will no longer be part of Prediction competition.

FGR 0 Northampton 1 No scorer.
Despite the excellent result last week still need to be convinced that we can play well against a big physical team.

We were the better side at Sixfields and if we hadn't missed a few sitters would have won. So we're capable of beating them, if we can perform to last Saturday's levels.

1-0 Stevens. (If/when this match is played)

I suspect professional football will be suspended for many months, perhaps even for a year.
And it may be under new arrangements when resumed.
Obviously Pitchfork's competition is also suspended. Alas I'm not in position to repay entry fees coz I won't be seeing any of you guys and some money has already been spent in monthly prize wins.
I'll probably give it all to the FGRSC.
In the meantime I wish everybody well and hope we are all still here when football recommences.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
