I agree about the goalkeeping.

Lewis Thomas should never, ever have been replaced.

I'm not sure playing without a goalie at this level is sensible

What we need is a settled goal-keeping situation, preferably with a permanent one between the sticks, who can grow in confidence himself and with the defence together.

I’ve been saying that all season.

We should’ve stayed with Lewis Thomas from the beginning.

Players learn from their mistakes. He shouldn’t have been replaced just for making the occasional one after all those clean sheets.

We all have different opinions but I think if MC had more faith in him, results would’ve been so different.

Another vote of confidence in Lewis Thomas from me. Unsurprisingly, given the context, he looked shaky and nervous at the start of the season (and Jojo obviously had the benefit of having had league first-team experience), but proved his worth, repeatedly and consistently.

If you so didn’t replace him you wouldn’t have a goalie...

I still don't know what you're talking about.

We didn't need to replace him.

He was our goalkeeper!!!

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
