No. I'm a born-again football fan.

And you're exactly the sort of positive person who would fit in so well at Eastleigh. Or Salisbury City. Or Winchester City. Or AFC Bournemouth. They love forum users with bright signatures and avatars. More environmentally friendly for you as well because they're much, much closer.

Really?
I can see you haven't been paying attention. You don't even know where I live!!

Point still stands. There are closer football clubs!

Looked for you..Was on the drum on the right with mates..

Hi Football Poets, at last we now know who the drummer is, you do a great job but I have asked on numerous occasions if the drummer can keep beating the drum for 12/15 times when you are doing it for the "Rovers" chant. We in the East stand only hear the south stand chanting on the 3/4 chant, we start but it then stops. I think by extending this, it is key to getting the whole stadium together, generating a fantastic atmosphere.

I usually get our stand chanting "Forest Green" regularly during the course of a game but this would get even more supporters involved.

Please, you will not be disappointed.

Why don't we give "Oh Forest Green Rovers" a go...sung like "Oh Anthony Joshua"

...it works because there are the right number of syllables, I reckon the Main Stand would join in with a bit of encouragement.
The future is bright, the future is green...Forest Green!

Sounds good to me. Oh Forest Green Rovers. Anything is worth a go and a bit of fun. It will work because you can clap a consistent rhythm to it which always helps the East Stand get involved.

Seconded on football poets efforts. From what I've seen, if half the fans put in half the effort he does, we'd double the atmosphere.

If someone has chosen to come and support us, then we should welcome them with open arms, no matter what other clubs might be nearer to where they live. If they support us, they're one of us.

I absolutely agree but KG111 has a different opinion.
Check out his posts on Robin's Nest thread FOREST GREEN FANS and understand why I hold the man in utter contempt.

I'm referred to as a JUDAS and OLD TURN COAT although I've never been a Cheltenham supporter.
What he writes about New Forest Fan is even worse, and he does not even know the person.
He comes over as a very sad individual.

Late addition:
Check out following post by same man which confirms what I have said

Kinda made me think of the alien in the Alien films. A mouth within a mouth and that type of thing.

Agreed. Wholeheartedly.

There are plenty on here that travel far and wide to watch us. When we are all on the terraces it doesn't matter what your postcode is.

Spot on, is anyone willing to tell the Norwegians who showed up on Saturday that they should go and support Viking Stavangar because it is nearer to where they live!

Ignore Laughing Giraffe NFR. I'm sure you'll have seen on Saturday that the majority of our fans are welcoming to new fans coming to support the club.

I've got to have a go at the fans here.

I think that the way that the fans have treated Newforestrover is a disgrace. He/She's only new on here and he/she get's told to get off the forum, he/she's not good enough to post on here. That's just awful.

Have a go at me instead. My posts recently have been dreadful.

Well put. Your being a bit too hard on yourself though. Your posts haven't been particularly dreadful.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
