Port Vale v FGR: match forecast

FGR & Port Vale sit alongside each other at bottom of the table, so game on Saturday is opportunity for either club to move up table.
FGR, after four straight losses would I’m sure have preferred this first ever league fixture against Port Vale to be at home. Nevertheless an away win against them would be a confidence booster for team at right time in campaign.
Both clubs are adjusting to EFL 2: Port Vale were relegated from EFL1 end of last season while FGR …......
Port Vale won their first game of season 3-1 against Crawley Town but have not won since: a losing run of six league matches including all three home games.

Crawley [a] 3-1
Wycombe [h] 2-3
Chesterfield [a] 0-2
Crewe [h] 0-1
Notts County [h] 0-1
Coventry [a] 0-1
Luton [a] 0-2

Port Vale have not scored since 2nd game against Wycombe.

My heart and head says that FGR are playing Port Vale at right time and will come away from the Potteries with a win.
Port Vale 0-2 FGR

Michael Brown, manager of Port Vale, said in local article that his team would beat FGR.

Match report against Luton says Port Vale played well but were 'undone by Ben Whitfield’s own goal on 38 minutes and a breakaway strike by Jack Stacey five minutes into the second half.'
The game against FGR could be a career defining result for Brown and I'm sure his team will be up for it.

I'm sure they will be up for it. But we will be too.

I'm looking forward to it.

Port Vale 2 FGR 1

Not down to their prolific scoring, but down to our dreadful defence.

Vale 2 - FGR 2. A game we'll probably think should have been won, but as said, too prone to errors at the back.

Going to be tough. Both sides will be desperate for a result. Would take a draw.

1-1

I need to keep positive. 2-1 win. I feel silly writing it, but what's life without a bit of hope.

Given the clown Port Vale have in charge and their current form, I would hope we get three points. However, given we haven't yet looked like a League Two side beyond the first 45 minutes of the season, I can't predict anything other than a 1-1 draw.
Your hands-down winner.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
