I see there is an alligation of Collins spitting at Ragget last night. FA are aware and look like they will be investigating this. I really hope he hasn't sunk that low as it is a disgusting thing to do.

Bit of a nerve Danny Cowley saying he always expects his players to keep their discipline, has he not met Rhead????

If found guilty it'll be a six game ban and he should go back to Chelsea

My thoughts are that he can become a really good keeper. Seems a bit naive in some decision making but does make some good save. if he wasn't cannon fodder each game he would have some chance of getting his confidence up. He did seem to really care last night.

To be fair, it would be much better to talk about his save in the first minute. The match would have been completely different otherwise and possibly another capitulation

It's been a real baptism of fire getting his first few games in the league. A fiery response from fans, not much protection from the defence and now these accusations. Hopefully all good learning for the lad.

Why? What makes spitting worse than bottling someone in a nightclub or similar? After all, we have had players who've done similar in the team.

Spitting really isn't nice, but there are much worse things.

Innocent until proven guilty. But he is 20 and everyone makes mistakes and so if he did do it, I'd be happy to stand behind him as long as he learns from it.

Definitely wouldn't stand in front of him though eh?

(Sorry - couldn't resist. I'm sure he didn't do it).

This is bad news if true and if he gets a suspension. Russell is injured (I think) so I guess we would need to recall Pickering from loan.

Last thing we need when we need Collins focused on continuing his improvement and on getting more points on the board

Pickering was on the bench for the last two games. It's one of the things I'm annoyed about with the lack of communication on Russell. I thought it was newsworthy to say he is back and clarify. But what do I know.

I assume FGRs stance of "investigating the allegations" means he will definitely not be found guilty before the weekend and therefore be available with the hope Russell returns in time for any suspension, should the worst happen and he is found guilty.

I hope he is innocent and will go by that until told otherwise, but equally if he has made he mistake I hope he takes responsibility and owns up to it and issues an apology via the club to show young fans it's not acceptable.

Look forward to FGR clarifying the issue in due course!

You're right Camel. His recall cost Shortwood dear it seems; they lost 8-0 at home last weekend

Collins cleared by the FA having found no evidence of wrongdoing.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
