We usually mange to beat Swindon but you guys are low on confidence. Plus they look pretty good away from home so I think they'll turn you over.
Im sure you,ll find yer feet and come good eventually. If not DV will spend big in January. Its a given :D

Murphy good FGR scoring ratio so sidelined then loaned. KMB what is going on there? Uninspiring showing from transfer window. Let's hope Bugiel plays.

On the basis he doesn't

It says a lot when the only club interested in signing Murphy are rock bottom of the National League.

Heart says: FGR 4 - 3 Swindon Town - "4-3 - we're gonna win 4-3!"

Head says: FGR 1 - 5 Swindon Town - Just like the time we played Oxford United on a Friday night on TV about 10 years ago!

For the purposes of this thread (and being an optimist) I'll stick with my heart and go for the win.

Its surprising more didn't want him but I guess he is going to be rusty for a couple of weeks at least and maybe expensive (or at least I hope we have offset some of his cost at least)

I forecast a bumper crowd. Plenty of parking at the Park and Ride at Renishaw and a decent first prize on the Rovers Raffle.

Two second prizes of £25 each as well so definitely worth a flutter.

Look out for Rovers Raffle sellers on Friday.

Looking forward to it.

Having watched the Port Vale highlights, Swindon should have no problems scoring at least two. Bennett had the option of a simple midfield sideways pass but inexplicably chose to take the ball towards his own end and give the ball away. Cooper should have sorted this out by now.

If we restrict Swindon to two, we could sneak a draw.

I fear another unfortunate 'lesson' in just how far we have stepped up....

FGR 0 - Swindon 2

Woolery guaranteed to score....

Come on Rovers.

Tonight, pull it all together and show what we are capable of.

We made history last season. Let's do it tonight.

At the Q&A last night, MC implied that either Monthe or Bugeil will be starting in midfield to respond to the issues some of us have felt around the lack of height in midfield.

We absolutely need to get behind whoever plays tonight and stop slagging off the younger players who have been getting stick - Cooper, Collins. MC was particularly critical (rightly) about the stick Bradley Collins got at a recent game.

We can get something out of tonight is we are all together and at our best.

I went with my head for the Sep predictions (2-2).
So on this one I'll go with my heart. 3-2 to us.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
