Team at Notts

Postby Pitchfork » Fri Oct 06, 2017 9:42 am

We need to be at full strength:

Russell,
Bennett, Roberts, Collins, Wishart
Brown,Cooper,Traore,Osbourne
Doidge, Bugiel

Collins, KMB,Monthe,Randall, Mullings, Laird, James

Most difficult was James before Stevens and leaving Fitzwater out

Excellent choice Pitchfork, however there are 3 letters on the subs bench that won't be on the coach for Nottingham unfortunately, unless he is going for a walk around Sherwood Forest on Sat. afternoon. It's about time he and MC sort out their differences.

It's only ONE letter missing from the middle of the team coach's name, Seat C32 and that's an M!

(Cryptic clue) ;)

The squad is now looking small and the team largely picks itself now given Lairds loss of form. I would be happy to see that line up Pitchfork.

Top vs bottom rarely sees an upset but if we can get one it will mean a multiplier on the confidence boost we will get. I can’t see that happening but hopefully we get close and the posters on here don’t get too down on a team that is odds on to lose

I would go with that starting line-up, nice balance to it, and think that the addition of Ozzy to the midfield gives us something we had been missing. I would however have Stevens on the bench instead of KMB, regardless of whether he can fall back in with the manager, an exciting prospect based on the little I have seen and heard of him...time to let him shine!

Monthe broke his cheekbone last Friday apparently, so doubt he'll be available unless he wears a protective mask. Expect Iacovitti to be on the bench instead.

The team has looked better playing with a midfield diamond, and going back to a playing in a style that suits the players we have. Osbourne has also added a bit more steel in the middle, which has helped the other midfielders get hold of the ball more. Not expecting too much but if we continue to build on last Saturday and play as a unit then we should give them a good game.

I would take FGR playing rubbish/awful game and a undeserved lucky 1-0 win over a 'good game/performance /we are improving (but still lost ) stuff all day long

Good choice. Think it maybe kmb and monthe out, and Stevens and Fitzwater in.

I think MC is right. Stevens is certainly one to watch.

Cannot really see us getting anything but a good beating tomorrow. Sorry, but have to be realist - have learnt that over the years. No need for the rose-tinted specs, it is so silly to come on here and be anything but seeing the obvious.

Great team selection.

Are Iacovitti & Gomes still injured?
I'd have liked to see both included/on the bench if not.
Stevens will hopefully return against Swansea and show us just how good he is by scoring a few more!

*edited to change the spelling of Iacovitti!
:)

You could well be right but I fear it won’t stop people sounding surprised and shocked after the event.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
