FGR v Newport County: match forecast

FGR entertain Newport County on Saturday for 2nd time this season when the 2-0 FGR victory was the clubs last win.
Newport currently sit 8th in table, a position that has been their average for season: highest 2nd and lowest 16th.
On current form [6 matches] they sit 7th with 4 wins & 2 losses] while away form they are 13th [2 wins, 1 draw & 3 losses]. A draw against FGR seems unlikely.
Because clash is a localish game and combined with FGR’s recent improvement on the pitch, I expect TNL to be pretty full. That in itself is a recommendation to attend game and enjoy the atmosphere.

Newport’s results this season:
Win .........................................Draw ...............................Loss

Coventry City [a] 1-0 ….......Stevenage [a] 3-3 …........ Exeter [a] 0-1
Chesterfield [h] 4-1 …............ Crewe [a] 1-1 …............. Morecambe [a] 1-2
Cheltenham [h] 1-0 …............ Wycombe [h] 0-0 …....... Luton [a] 1-3
Grimsby [h] 1-0
Crawly [a] 2-1
Yeovil [h] 2-0

My forecast FGR 3-1 Newport

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Notts County 1-1 FGR

Just five fans forecasts a draw: Mothy, Norton Boy, linfield rovers, redunited & TreeHugger with special congrats to Norton Boy and Mothy who were only ones to predict a perfect 1-1 scoreline.

Running total of perfect forecasts:

3-2 FGR win. Got to be optimistic. Lets get behind the lads and create atmosphere Sat. Newport best start, I think, since 1982. Lets make that come to an end.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
