Stevenage v FGR: match forecast

Stevenage away after FGR’s historic win at Coventry has become a very tasty prospect.
Stevenage currently sit 4th in current home form with 13 pts and three consecutive home wins.
Their only recent loss was to Lincoln who also won at TNL. More interestingly is that recently Crawley managed a 1-1 draw.
Now that FGR has rediscovered its true form they will be travelling to game full of confidence.
However and despite that I’m opting for a 1-1 draw.

Coventry 0-1 FGR

Only three out of 33 prediction were correct and only Kentstripe forecast actual result.
His name will be added to the 1st column of those who have predicted two wins. Well done.

Stevanage lost 7-1 last week at Luton, if that doesnt give them a rocket up the proverbial i dont know what will.

Expecting a decent performance but a 1-0 loss

Been to Stevenage a lot of times down the years, but never seen us win there. Been a few we should have won and were definitely robbed a couple of times, that 2-2 when we were 2-0 up with a couple of minutes to go and that 3-3 when we were 3-2 up in injury time spring to mind. Hopefully we end that run on Saturday.

Stevenage 1-2 FGR

3-1 Stevenage. Though would take a nil nil. As long as 100 per cent is shown and seeds of progress is shown. Be interesting if CC recovers and what tactics will be employed.

After a hard earned 0-1 win in midweek I'm full of optimism but realistically I can't see us keeping a clean sheet against a team that can score freely. I'd take a point and I'd bite your hand off for 3 but I just have a feeling Stevenage will have enough to get over the line...just

Going for a narrow 2-1 defeat but another strong showing from the football leagues new boys.

As for the team, I'd stick with the changes he made cc pending of course
...Because we know Tranmere will come back but it's WOOLERY AT THE OTHER ENNNNNDDDD......GOAL 3-1 to Forest Green

Stevenage 2 - FGR 1

I think they'll have too much firepower for us, but would be delighted if I'm wrong.

Can't get carried away by Tuesday night - our situation still looks dire and this is yet another away game against a team in the 'Top 8'. We concede too many and score too few.

I am hoping we can turn in the sort of performance we did v Accrington, Notts County and Coventry, NOT like Newport

So I will go for a hard fought 1-1 draw

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
