Ouch! We will miss his work rate. Squad is thin in midfield so we can’t afford any more injuries like this in these positions.

CC is literally the engine in the engine room. Appears Reece had that role today. Will b interested to read reports of how he did in midfield role today. CC will be missed, hope he heals quickly.

I agree - I think he does an excellent job in midfield and esp given his age. We will miss him for sure, hope he heals quickly.

He will be missed by the majority of us true supporters. I do appreciate his skill level, and the fact that he still is at the learning stage. My message to all those doubters - get off his back !!.

I think we'll miss Charlie massively, yeah he's not the best footballing wise but he's young and willing to learn and you can never question his commitment. Anyone making a joke out of a serious injury is a bit of a nonce.

What a stupid comment from a bloke that only turns up for big games. Idiot!!!

Charlie is a player with great potential and a great engine

Charlie is a good player, who you have seen hardly anything of but have already judged, who always works really hard for the team, and always makes himself available for a pass.

Most importantly he is an FGR player, and to wish injury on him is disgraceful

We'll manage without you Charlie because we have to.

When you return we'll be further up the table and awaiting your assistance to take us even higher.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Have another read KS - never wished him an injury.

That said, I do think the distraction of his availability will probably help the overall squad. Just my opinion.

Jaceyboy's comment unfortunately appeared unsympathetic to CC's injury. We saw a big improvement in CC in our promotion season and he does work hard and makes himself available, but is that enough?

The next few weeks will show if three factors coming together have changed our season. Noble going, KMB returning and CC being unavailable. So while jaceyboy's comment was likely purposely intended to provoke a reaction in the way it was made, he does have a point, I think there may well be benefit from CC's unavailability and seemingly automatic selection. We now get to see a change in the "formula". A rest and spell out will probably turn out to be good for CC too.

Time will tell.

I think we all read things how we want.

to best of my knowledge-no-one can get into my head (not even me ) and i certainly can't get into JB's head, so we all tend to interpret /read things differently-and often to interpret /support our own agenda.

i think i have from day one been on of the most supportive of CC--advocating him as future captain/biggest onward transfer--but equally see a bit of the above in the matter.

that given-at first read i read it a different way, where JB's response was to the thread about reece brown in midfield, being like a new signing.
my error for at first read thinking it referred to K marsh brown (not reece brown) and i anticipate-many would regard KMB now playing being a bit like a' new signing'

but thats me reading what i want to see-when in fact it refers to Reece brown.

so alot of waffle saying that maybe it seems a bit harsh to me to endeavour to 'slap Jaceyboy down'-though i reckon he/she is big enough to look after themselves regardless !

Really? As much as I don't rate him, we are very short in midfield at present.
Your hands-down winner.

Disappointing news.

Not sure how anyone can be happy to have a player injured, especially when we look light in midfield.

Hopefully the recovery goes well.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
