Pathetic, just cements my views about club at moment! Wrong type of people making decisions beyond their knowledge of football, what happened to the steward who man handled the Swindon fan with excessive force and undeserved violence? Swept under the carpet!! As i've said before the fans are the twelfth man, MC is starting to realise you cant diss the fans and you need them on board, his attitude towards fans has improved of late, how come the club cant see this?
Dale needs to be made aware that if you treat us with contempt it will come back to bite you on the aspidistra!! Put your house in order!!

Surely there's more to this than we've been told on here, maybe a statement from the club would help us all understand what actually has gone on.

As a grey beard season ticket holder from the East Stand I am alarmed that the young man who has been banned is also a season ticket holder.

Now being a season ticket holder does not make you immune from doing a naughty, but it does emphasise your deep and significant commitment to your club.

How can this be negotiated differently? Surely we must develop a mediation system that would deal quickly and creatively with these sorts of problems. There is a lot of senior management/ headteacher talent in the Supporters Club and on the Advisory Board. Could this not be utilised in order to avoid the ridiculous situation where our most vociferous supporters become mute.

I may be completely of track, as I don't know all the details, but would invite someone from the management system to bring a swift resolution to this debacle.

No point just keeping our feelings on here. How about Saturday....

He's one of our own,
He's one of our own,
Justice for Jordy,
He's one of our own.

Or the classic paint on a bed sheet if you want to go 'old skool'.

They have been conspicuous by their absence. Might be on their half term holidays

This issue seems to have caused a lot of frustration: I am not aware of the circumstances and don't have any operational responsibilities but I'm very happy to look into the matter before Friday.

Perhaps those 'in the know', if they want me to become involved, could PM me details.

I believe the situation should be resolved before the match on Saturday. Thanks for the messages.

It would be great if Jordy was back and the south stand is in good voice again.

The clubs 'customer service' if you will, is completely useless. The real fans that have been there from before the beginning of this period of involvement from ecotricity are being made to feel like they are completely unappreciated. Maybe it's just another change they want to make...

Sounds like progress.

It does show that in this thread there are plenty of fans prepared to look out for each other and people willing to try and find solutions as offered by Football Poets and then Pitchfork. It's important to remember that as it's easy to forget.

Let's hope it is sorted and Saturday will see us all galvanised and ready to roar the boys on.

MC and the players deserve a HUGE WELCOME back to the New Lawn after their impressive away wins. The East stand should be on their feet and clapping and the south stand vocal in their support. The big flags will be waving and 11 of our school ambassadors will be walking out proudly accompanying the players.

I hope Jordy and his mates will be there,in a similarly positive frame of mind, to ratchet up the noise before kick off.

As everyone knows, we rarely score the first goal! Let's make it happen against Morecambe.

Need those big flags in front of south stand when/if we score as well.

So is Jordy allowed in then?

I believe the club is waiting for a response from Jordy after discussions held a couple of days ago.

As for moshing, crack on. I enjoy it. And skanking and whatever else.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
