A competition I believe has been ruined by premiership money buying their way into a FL competition its something I wouldn't attend on my own principals but each to their own I hope Rovers win from a Private Eye reader!

Hi Earl
Surely a true Guardian reader would have spelt it Grauniad or Guraniad. :D

With it being Halloween night and we play Swansea City U/21's in the Checkatrade Trophy, do you think that Brad Collins or Sam Russell should be Forest Greens GHOULIE tonight.

Sadly we have spellchecker these days. And when I was 12 it was the Manchester Grauniad. Was sad when we moved to European standard paper size. And when the paper moved to Farringdon Road many of the typos went as well!

And the difference is? Viz was far more educational.

Of course it was. It's never been owned by Rupert Murdoch.

And sorry, as a vilified Guardian reader (in these pages at least) since the age of 12 we do stick to our principles.

Guardian readers I remember seeing training films featuring John Cleese and Michael Palin, Michael Palin would be a nice gentle weak sort "Guardian reader" going for a job interview enters the office to be interviewed by a stern John Cleese. As MP sits down his " newspaper" drips out of his bag! Immediately seized upon by JC he says mmmm Guardian reader I see, rolls his eyes and writes something down on his clip board. Is that alright the Guardian I mean says MP ? JC takes a sharp intake of breath and rolls his eyes and again marks something on his clip board.
FC if you get the chance watch them they were made for business/industry and are very funny and educational at the same time. On your paper its size is called Berliner Alan Rusbridger trying to be European and authoritarian liberal I remember hearing Jeremy Paxman ripping him to pieces when JP kept saying tabloid.

Hi
According to EFL site
Checkatrade Trophy Group Stages: Week commencing 6th November 2017
BUT these fixtures don't finish until 28/29th of November
and then
Checkatrade Trophy Round Two: Week commencing 4th December 2017

So presumably the draw will take place during Nov but might include X or Y type fixtures.
Southern area.
Groups H, G, D and B will be decided on 7th.
Groups C and A might be decided on 7th but could be delayed until 28th/29th for final positions.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
