Chesterfield v FGR: match forecasts

FGR travel to Chesterfield on Tuesday, for second game in four days. Chesterfield remain rooted to bottom of table despite a mini-revival similar to one which FGR are currently undergoing.
On current form [6 games] FGR are 3rd with 13 points, (4 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss) while Chesterfield are 12th with 8 points (2 wins, 2 draws & 2 losses).
At home Chesterfield are 22nd in current form table with 4 points (1 win, 1 draw & 4 losses) however they won their last home match against high flying Exeter.
Reports from the Exeter game say that it was a deserved home win for Chesterfield despite one of their players getting a red for two yellow card offences.
FGR current away form is 9th in table with 9 points (2 wins, 3 draws & 1 loss).
Therefore one must consider the match is between two in-form teams despite their lowly position in table.
Computer analysis of game has it as a 1-0 home win but I’m not convinced FGR will lose. A draw most likely but I’m going to be super optimistic with
Chesterfield 1-3 FGR

Up late Tomcat - only 22.18 in Chile, 3 hours later in UK

Would have loved to have seen today's match but has been a memorable day here

Unbeaten run will continue

Going early on this, but not as early as our man in South America.

So, the battle of the 2 teams with the current worst goal difference (-15).

Their form is improving, but so is ours. Like Mothy I think a 1-1 draw.

I've had a bit of inside track on Chesterfield, not a happy club at start of season which could explain early poor form. Like FGR we could be seeing the true side now so I'll go for a draw

Chesterfield 1 FGR 2

It will be hard but we seem to be able to find ways of picking up points and may get more space to play away from home. Whoever scores first will win (or at least get a point) I reckon since both sides will be nervous

A 2-1 win for FGR. Doidge has 5 in 5 and I fancy we will score. I'm less confident of a clean sheet. Team spirit will win through.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
