This may change depending on Jan transfer window. Also our young squad are improving at a rapid rate and have genuine team spirit.

OTC's attendance figures are nonsense. He averages out the combined home and away attendances of both clubs, not just home matches.

He's also wrong that we haven't been relegated since 1999. Clearly, he was still on the terraces at Whaddon Road when both Lewer and Hockaday were in charge in Nailsworth. We were only reprieved thanks to Altrincham and Northwich Victoria both fouling up off the pitch.

As for this match ... 1-3 defeat.

Talking of getting stuff wrong.....

It was Salisbury (09/10) and Northwich (04/05) not Altrincham fouling up that reprieved us LG.

My mind is muddling Salisbury and Altrincham. Stinking cold and been reading too much mind melting nonsense from OTC.

Altrincham had 15 or so points deducted that prevented us from another relegation placing. For the good of the game and all that.

Regardless, my point still stands as the teams involved aren't the key issue. Sorry to disappoint.

I would have gone for the single score draw too, but I have been having a feeling of woe that we'll be back in trouble.

Johnson’s team will be set up to mercilessly punish stupid mistakes and giving the ball away. If we stop the errors, we’ll have a chance.

They're missing a few so if Isiah and Drissa are fit reckon we should edge it by a goal. If not much tougher ask.

I think this is a big IF, unfortunately

I cannot help but think how different things might look for FGR currently if we had been able to field a fit and focused Lee Noble in midfield alongside Driss and Ossie....

We've already proven under MC that we can turn up and perform in the big games, and I think we will tomorrow as well.

3-1 Rovers.

Hard to predict with potential injuries and suspensions. But the boys will be up for making up for Tuesday and no doubt the crowd will help them overcome any heavy legs.

FGR 3.
Cheltenham Town 2.

Incidentally the most predictable thing about tomorrow's game will be the song CTFC fans sing.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
