FGR travel to our old foes Grimsby on Saturday; the team that beat us at Wembley season before last to get promoted to the EFL a year before the Village Club.
Grimsby currently stand mid-table. They are 12th in current form table [6 games] with 8 pts from D D L L W W
[FGR sit 5th in same table with 11 pts from W W D W L D]

Grimsby are 16th in current home table with 7 pts from D D D D L W.
[FGR away league form is 12th with 8pts from L D W W D L]

My forecast Grimsby 1-1 FGR

////////////////////////////////////

FGR 3-3 Exeter

Just one predicted the exact scoreline,
Well done Mr Red United.

Grimsby have not been convincing at home this season: they are also in a position in the league we should aspire to reaching. Our two cup competitions are adding real sparkle to 2017-18, but the league is the bread and butter, the priority we must focus on. Accepting injuries and suspensions, I'll still go for an optimistic

Grim 2 FGR 2

No Dale Bennett, No Manny Monthe, recovery from injuries, things are looking grim. Having said that Grimsby are suffering at the moment from politics, so we might just draw this one.

1-1 for me. That would be a good point if we can get it. As ever, I hope for better and fear for worse

Grim-it-be 2 v FGR 0

Looking at the weather forecast, the brave souls travelling from Gloucestershire are unlikely to witness a 'classic', I fear...

What is the highest number of consecutive games in which an FGR player has scored? Assuming the Trophy games 'count' then Doidge is on 7

I seem to remember Jon Parkin became a "goal a game" or is that just my fond memory?

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
