Iacovotti at right back and Laird in in central midfield then?
We desperately need some reinforcements in January, this squad is stretched thin.
COYR, do the job today!

Thin it is, only five subs named. Never been convinced by Charlie's final ball and decision making but he works hard and i know nothing so hope he has a stonking return and scores a screamer.

It is a bit thin, when you consider that those missing include; Bennett, Monthe, Traoré, Osborne and Marsh-Brown, most of whom would have started if available.

This is a chance for those on the fringes to make their mark and justify their place in the starting line-up.

Web radio working fine which is good news though it all seems to be Grimsby early doors, but then we just made a decent chance.

Quarter of the match gone and yes we have been under the cosh, but probably the best chance came to us ( Wishart to Doidge), but after that 3 good opportunities for Grimsby

Grimsby have had far more of the play but a fair amount of their possession has come from our mistakes.

We mustn't forget this is a team that is lacking some of our key players and the home team must feel confident about grabbing a win on the stats to date.

Still over an hour to go and we have to believe DOIDGE will keep up his scoring habit!

Damn another player sent off and a penalty.

If you are on a yellow and bring down an opponent in the box there is a fair chance you are going to be sent off.

They miss the pen but score the rebound. Typical.

Down to 10, patched up side and behind. Looking tough.

Hi
Was it shown as a double yellow red or a straight Red?

Second yellow, first for time-wasting (! on thirty minutes) in slightly odd circumstances

22nd as it stands.

Another act of self destruction leading to another suspension in our extremely thin squad.

I realise it was second yellow now. I first thought it was a straight red.

The Grimsby goal is a fair reflection of the play in the first half, but we were surviving until conceding a penalty. The second yellow ( and sending off ) was inevitable after a foul in the area, but the first one was very annoying!

Our discipline of late has been disappointing, especially with our threadbare squad. Coops needs to keep his cool or he too will be in trouble.

Good to hear Exeter are performing badly against Colchester, but those around us in the league are doing OK

Bit desparate now. Surely too hard to get anything out of this and we are close to being back in the relegation zone.

The players will be knackered after playing with ten men for 50+ minutes and that doesn't bode well for Tuesday - though as you say, Exeter are also having a bad day.

Its going to be a struggle all season, especially if we keep having players sent off.

Come on you Rovers - lets beat the odds.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
