Did great to get in the position we were in 1 up and against 10 men, gutted we couldn't see it through.

Need Osbourne and Drissa back, but good to see KMB back. Fitzwater will be back Saturday as well.

West Brom would have been nice but the league is the priority. Need a big performance to get anything on Saturday.

what's the excuses this time? Seriously I'd like to have someone explain how and why they are happy with the way things are. It's just the same old same old, loads of possession but so slow going forward. People keep saying we play better football but we really don't! It's just as boring watching a team pass sideways and letting the appointment get shape and try to walk it round 11 players than it is to watch them hoof it around. The best football wins games.

Meanwhile Yeovil win their replay in extra time.
3-2 though Port Vale have two players sent off. See how that affects them in the League?

Yeovil not one booking.

We have a lot to learn. 11 cards shown at Exeter so by the time Monthe got sent off he should have twigged that if he stepped out of line again he would be off.

Really disappointed, 1-0 up with Exeter down to 10 men, with should have to taken our chances and put pressure on. As for Manny's red card, when are our players going to learn.

Final completed team sheet if you print out a copy: http://www.forestgreenroversfc.co.uk/id31.html

Attendance: 2923 (203 from FGR)

Man-of-the-Match: Charlie Cooper

On to Luton Town at the New Lawn on Saturday.

Very disappointed tonight. West Brom would've been great but now we'll just have to concentrate on league and beat Port Vale that weekend instead.

Yes it's gutting, but we very nearly pulled it off!!

Well said!!

Cannot believes some if the negative rubbish by some on here!!

Yes I'm absolutely gutted like all true FGR fans, but doesn't mean I childishly slag off the team when they are giving absolutely everything at the moment.

Anyone would think we have just been thrashed 6-0 the way TommyD drones on.

Teams don’t really need to work hard to beat us.
Exeter were pretty quiet all evening in a very quiet surreal SJP, they just sat back, allowed us to pass the ball to death then win the game. Simple.

Game was there to be won and instead of going to kill the game off we decided to win the possession and style of play awards instead.

Possession football needs a cutting edge/change of pace, something which we don't have enough of. It's frustrating because before all the injuries/suspensions hit we were looking a real threat with the likes of Brown, KMB and Osbourne linking up to help support Doidge. Since we've been depleted we've struggled to create enough.

Grubb should help with that, but I'm hoping for another pacy striker/winger to come in and give us another option in January. We need more pace in the side to get in behind teams who press us high up the pitch.

We so need Osbourne and Traore back for Luton.

Said at half time we'd need a second. But no, we went for the 'possession and protect' option, hoping we didn't make a mistake, instead of going for the killer blow. Which found us out. Again.

We were on top, going for a second and looked like scoring it. Their penalty took the wind out of our sails.

Great effort by a young side. Cooper Jr easily had his best game for the club; however Monthe’s stupid sending off left a huge gap on their left which they exploited for the winner.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
