It's SO tight near the bottom - I think we could conceivably be anywhere from 18th to bottom by 1700

See master Cooper's got his excuses in already, lack of players available and lack of training. :D

I've a mate who supports Luton and he tells me that whilst they have had some off days, at their best they are a terrific side this year.

So, sadly FGR 1 - Luton Town 3.

But its true. As he says its not an excuse its a fact.

We would struggle against a good side like Luton even if we were at full strength so its going to be a tough game later. We need to be a 12th man and not let the hordes from Luton make all the noise. We will need a bit of luck. We also need the young players to step up and play with no fear and be creative and take what chances come our way. Time too for Roberts to show us why he is in the squad.

1. Because snowmen cost more than Roberts for doing the same job.
2. Whose fault is it we have such a thin squad?

With bennett, monthe and Iacovitti unavailable, and then bringing Simposon and stevens in to the team, and keeping Roberts on the bench, i wonder whether Mr Cooper upon reflection is also coming to the conclusion that he has made better signings than Mark Roberts over the years .

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
