Well at this rate the first we'll know about new players is when we see 3 or 4 faces we don't recognise in the pre-match warm up on Saturday !!!!

Might be the first Port Vale know about them too if that was the case, not neccessarily a bad thing.

The element of surprise eh? Just hope they've got time to get their names printed on their shirts so we know who the hell they are

Mothy wrote:At the risk of incurring the wrath of NFR ... definitely don't see Wishart as a hit. Jury out for me still on that one. Dan may be playing further forward in midfield these days, but no where near as big a threat or provider as Frear was.

What?!!

He's our star player!

In the past few weeks he should've been MOTM on at least two occasions. I've no idea why he never gets picked but he deserves to.
If I'm not at the match I always listen to the commentary so I may not see how well he's playing but I can hear it.

On Saturday Bob and Billy (again) gave him their MOTM vote and they were very surprised when he missed out on it (again!)
So was I.

Wishart has been good recently, tbh thought he wasn't up to it based on last seasons performances, especially going up a division, but he's really improved.

Just needs to improve on his final ball and occasional defensive positioning, but overall I would say he definitely merits his place and looks like a good league 2 player.

Yes. Agree. 100%. A guy who distinguished himself as a player for FGR, now trying to get the team to succeed by getting us playing passing football, having got us promoted into the football league ...

BUT - yes - I can't fathom him out either :? The tactics, the tinkering, the signings, the demeanour on match days

Has next Tuesday been confirmed?
It isn't on either the club's or LM's on line fixture lists

I saw he's posted a 'story' that shows him on the road. It says Birmingham City FC with a pin next to it. Doesn't necessarily mean he's on the move, but we shall see. Shame if he does go as he's impressed me in recent weeks going forward.

I'll be gutted if we lose Dan but I wouldn't be at all surprised.

I'm sure his brilliance will not have gone unnoticed by others. Unfortunately.

It's your fault NFR, up until you started bigging him up hardly anyone realised he was good, now everyone knows.

OMG! It's my fault then.
Next time I discover an overlooked superstar amongst our players, I'll try and keep it quiet.

I have to say I do rate dan, he's great going forward, just needs to improve delivery a bit but in fairness we only ever one player in the box!

Anyone know if we are still using that ridiculous money ball system to recruit players? Have we got any scouts? Asked before but nobody answered

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
