Chris Clements, cm from Grimsby in on loan. Their fans sound gutted to lose him. Apparently their best cm but manager fell out with him and doesn't suit their style of lumping it, so should suit us!

The question is who’s next?

The question is, were they playing badly because they had been left out or left out because they hadn't been playing well. I thought that both Drissa and KMB had struggled to cope with the extra demands of league 2.

Traore was fine until he had a dip in form over three or four matches. Then that seemed to be near enough it for him. Such a waste.

It is a big shame that Drissa is nowhere near the first team squad anymore, I still feel he is one of if not the best footballer in the squad, he has such awareness and keeps the ball moving for us

Even with a new signing Drissa should be in the squad, even if as a sub or rotation. He looked much better when Osbourne came in and he had another L2 CM alongside him and he even started to play 90mins. Hopefully it's not too late.

Clements looks remarkably similar to the Club Secretary...have we really signed a new player or is James Mooney moonlighting as a footballer?

Echo the comments about Drissa, WHAT A WASTE, but as I have posted elsewhere - he played 90 mins in the Glos Senior Cup last night, which tells me that MC is not likely to play him in League 2 any time soon, if at all.

Sadly I think we have seen the last of Drissa Traore in an FGR shirt - although I really hope I am wrong

I know of Chris Clements, came through the Crewe Academy which has produced so many good players. The right age (27), with the right experience (100+ games in League 2) and plays in a position (central midfield) where we badly needed strengthening.

Well done Dale.

And MC/staff. They're the ones identifying targets and persuading players to sign, after all. Dale provides the funds to do so. Team effort. ;)

i had a post removed in another thread for absolutely no reason. I don't think moderators should be allowed to post, it seems they just delete everything that is counter to their point of view!

An interesting nite at the end of this article. We play Grimsby at home last day if the season. This could be a huge game as their form is very poor at the moment and they could well get sucked into the relegation fight. There is always one team who fall from mid table. I off course hope it’s Cheltenham but think it’s more likely to be Grimsby.

Seems like a good signing even if it is just for the fact it's pi55ed off Grimsby fans

Not much first team experience. Winger. Let's see.

Seems an odd one when we don’t play wingers and already have Stephens and KMB looking for game time

Good luck to them both. Welcome to the Green.

Welcome and good luck to both. They've both come in knowing our position and hopefully therefore well up for the fight. Look forward to seeing them play.

Welcome to the mighty Green lads, hope you are both up for a fight. ;)

Clements, especially sounds like a very solid signing, and we really needed that in CM.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
