Silly one to concede after all that hard work.

I think we were just very unlucky.

We've barely had a shot worthy of the name though, so making our own difficulties.

Another penalty we should've had?

Very logical Bob!
Dan had a rare yellow card.

How Doidge didnt get 2 penaltirs i dont know.I bet Swindon miss those from the highlights as they looked definote from where we were.Collins very unhappy with ref at the end

Good win for Chesterfield and nothing for us against an unconvincing Swindon sees us back in the relegation zone.

2 reasonable shouts for penalties not given and not good to lose Rawson - hope he is ok soon. Plus points were good saves from Collins and a decent performance from Grubb but overall we just didn't create enough chances.

Next up Cambridge - we badly need something from that.

We may have lost but still a very promising performance considering five new players started together for the first time.
We were obviously affected by the injury to Rawson after starting so well and sounding like we were really going for a win.

Sounds like a very promising performance today, pity about the scrappy goal and as Bob Hunt says we deserved a draw.

Just heard MC say on the radio that he felt Doidge dived both times when clean through!

As Bob picked up he was being ironic [ETA I think I mean sarcastic], as he didn't want to say the ref bottled it twice, hence he went on about how many Christian's scored i.e. why would he go down?

We desperately need another good CM and a right-footed right back.

0-0 written all over it so really disappointing to lose it.
Not sure about first Doidge incident looked more of a dive than a penalty. Second one was harder to call.
Hope Rawson is ok he was looking good with Gunning at the back. Grubb looks great and will be even better when he can step up to 90 minutes.
Need to sort out right wing back - we cant go into games with Laird Wizzer or Monthe wide right - crazy !
Really good travelling support - looked to be 6-700.

A draw would have been a fair result.

RR and CD looked good alongside each other and while there was maybe only one save the Swindon keeper had to make we had a good few chances or penalty appeals.

Dale Grubb looked good and will be even better when he sees the pass. A big addition to the squad.

At the back we looked more solid and Swindon had scraps and a few long shots. And a very scrappy goal.

IO was the solid midfielder and did well.

Reasons to think that the second half of the season will be better than the first half. Which should be enough to keep us up.

Looking forward to next Saturday.

Just got home - gutted we deserved a point
Walking back to the car talking to Swindon fans
They thought we were lucky not to be two down first half great saves from our keeper (I agree we’ll done Brad
They said they were worried 2nd half as they thought we would boss the game and win easily - they thought grubb was best player by far
They said we didn’t get the ball forward fast enough though and their dodgy defence was able to get back and clear
All In all we tried hard - laird and whishart not good enough I’m afraid
Roll on next saturday

I just wonder why the powers at be are not getting the best out of Dan Wishart - he was highly rated at Sutton and represented England C , a decent player does not go backwards over-night. Something must be wrong somewhere as it does not add up. Add Omar to that , coming in with a good potential, and now shipped out for the rest of the season, and Mullings coming back from a loan now disciplined, Murphy - a decent player rejected and contract cancelled, what is going on ?.

Difficult game in an increasingly difficult season. Not many, positives out there. Swindon fans to our right were nutters. Nothing to shout about today no one fault but they have league experience and we do not.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
