Well done to the fans

Postby camel » Sat Jan 27, 2018 5:59 pm

Just a quick one to say well done to the fans again today. Disappointed I couldn't make it but sounded good again on the radio today.

Home and away this season we are often the ones making noise and giving it a go to get behind the team.

Hopefully the long journey and good support from those who went will be acknowledged in post match interviews. Certainly did the rest of us proud.

Seconded, couldnt make this one, so proud to hear the fgr fans chanting on the radio. Well done all that travelled.

Fair play to those who travelled. It is a horrible trip at this time of year when it's wet.

No chance it will get mentioned unfortunately!!!

Brilliant support though, and it does well for the future if we can somehow stay in the league.

Cooper really needs to get a grip in more ways than one!

Said on the match-day thread how great the fans sounded today. Nice to feel good about something after that awful game.

Brilliant following from Rovers fans today.

To have 3 figure following as far north as Carlisle was impressive - the home fans were quiet throughout, but the FGR faithful were enthusiastic and loud in their support. Well done to all who made the long trip north.

To be fair, credit where credits due.

Cooper has thanked the support today, so that is one thing, but an important thing in my book.

Going by distance from TNL to Carlisle and Exeter on Google Maps, fans who make both journeys will have traveled 728 miles in the space of 5 days to support the team. That's incredible in anyone's book.

You might wish to check out his post-match interview

I did after i posted which is why i then deleted my post, you on the other hand should try to be patient, 3 rants about Cooper not bigging up the fans before he had even done an interview.Hardly un-biased is it.

I never told you what you can or can't post, merely pointed out you were slating the man for not saying something before he even spoke.

Still a terrible interview though.

Nothing about the lack of shots, crosses, just one long rant, yet again about the referee.

Don't forget the long trip and the drug testers. And to think I was accused by a moderator of constructing conspiracy theories...

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
