I don't know what goes on within a club, and i am no football manager ,but players know when signed, that squads are normally 22-26 players ,so not everyone can make the 17 every week.

when they sign 25/26 players-managers obviously also know that.

i guess all managers do it differently-but why is there a need to have 6/7 players train with the academy ?

why cant all the professional players train together-why banish some ?

seems unecessary /demoralising and demeaning to me.

whats the point of it ?

seems all a bit bbb on behalf of a manager to me-
a good manager does not need to make a point of impressing-they just do it naturally and earn respect without fuss .

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
