It could be that they have broken the contract, that would need to be determined by who actually saw and signed it, but I am guessing that at a minimum it would have mentioned supplying first team kits in time for the start of the season. Perhaps the club could seek compensation in the form of Hummel funding our shirts for school-kids scheme...5,000 shirts should just about cover it!

I prefer the Blue now, plain perhaps but easier on the eye.

I sort of miss the black and green home kit, but at the same time do like the blue and white. Perhaps we should learn from the mistake Grimsby made last week, blaming it on the dark goalie kit merging in with the crowd behind him, and keep the blue and white as our away kit rather than the black/grey one.

I can’t belive the club haven’t already told Hummel to do one. I would have approached another kit maker straight away and got this shambles sorted. Not only does it look bad on Hummel but it looks just as bad on FGR. The club need to bite the bullet and get the kit from someone else. Shambles all round.

It does not look as bad on the club at all.

It's all Hummel's doing, but hey why not beat the club with another unfounded branch.

I prefer foggy's idea.

It will cancel out the negative publicity.

And do us a favour.

Exactly, up to Hummel to make this right by doing a good turn.

If it takes this long to make about 50 shirts, how long will it take them to make 5000? :o

Fair point, well made...probably by the time that the intended recipients (primary school children) are ready to make their debut in the first team.

Ah, yes Tommo, but the ECOTRICITY logo in fluorescent green, glows in the dark. A team of 10 glow-worms + whatever the 'keeper shirt colour is to confuse the opposition :)

The chevrons appear to be a sleeve feature on all of their shirts, eg ...

Compliments the mug Tommo. ;)

Could imagine Scotland wearing this.

Middlesbrough, Charlton, Fleetwood and Rangers all had their kit in time for the new season. I do blame Hummel and it only looks bad for teams at our level because if they can get other kits ready why can’t they get ours. The club should have binned then off straight away and gone to a kit maker who would have provided a kit. You do have to ask have the club gone cheap, have they made a kit that’s awkward. There has to be a reason as to why 2 games in and we still don’t have a kit.

What I don’t understand is how they couldn’t get the green and black ready in time but managed to get a whole new blue kit ready? It’s a very strange situation. I love that we put the boards upside down, well done to whoever came up with that one
I was really looking forward to buying the new away kit.

I believe it’s because the blue kit is an ‘off the peg’ design which has already been produced, where as our home and away kits were ‘bespoke’ designs.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
