New Kit?!

The audio answers your questions. It’s a standard spec Hummel kit, rather than the bespoke ones we’ve ordered for home and away. We were able to get this “off-the-shelf” one and personalise quickly thanks to the amazing Batemans.

As for kit - we’ve been promised it by 7th September - but as Dale has said, promises and Hummel are not currently hand-in-hand.

Have a listen to the audio - there’s more stuff in there that Dale says that I’ve forgotten to put here.

If you put Hummel football kits or similar in a search engine you can see the one FGR chose for an emergency off the shelf 3rd kit. Ditto Telford's Away and 3rd Kit. There is a difference in that Telford's were always planned to be off the shelf anyway.

Telfords's bespoke home shirt looked brilliant last night. I think FGR fans will think they same when they see their bespoke kits worn for the first time. Though Telford fans like FGR can only pre order, none available to buy yet.

Not looked to see if Charlton are doing any better with their Hummel kits.

so from Dale's interview -i was not imagining it when at the post season forum ,he did say that we will be revealing the new kit in the next few weeks (i.e may )

ordered in january -thats some delay until now /manufacturing process !!

I am sure the club have looked into and sought reassurances on this-but that sort of delay affecting more than one club , strikes me as a company in financial difficulty .
would i be surprised to read in the next fortnight that hummell are in administration (danish equivalent of ) ?

We could get Sensodine tooth paste to sponsor the current kit. It’s colour coordinated perfect

Arent there any sustainable UK manufacturers remaining?

Really this is the pits- one would hope that there is a good few clauses in the contract with Hummel that can be invoked. Dare I suggest that other manufacturers are available and surely could whip them out within days?

If Doidge or Reuben turned out in the buff we’d get a bigger crowd. My wife would come for a start.

Does anyone attached to FGR procurement department have the latest on the strip situation? The Wycombe clash may throw up a spanner if we don't receive it soon, as their home kit is ostensibly light blue isn't it?

I love them both but they would need to score a goal first!

My son queried this recently and showed me a photograph of kit that his club, Tuffley Rovers in Gloucester, bought from a supplier in Stroud beginning with a name something likeTaz___.
I have no idea what the quality is like.

Proud that the club have taken a stand against Hummel - how they have treated us is beyond reproach and delighted that we have taken this step! Good for us!!!

Not sure about PlayerLayer

I like the stand we have taken against Hummel. Just what was the problem with our kit?

But PlayerLayer? What? Who? Terrible logo.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
