I could never understand MC's reluctance to play Moore .

Hi
Something I raised on another thread.
It will be interesting to see how much game time Jonny Maxted gets in League 1 next season, he's 24 and Chapman the #1 is 27.

I've now found out that his No 1 Aaron Chapman got the Golden Glove for League 2, so maybe he won't get too many unless Coleman uses him in the various Cup comps to keep him sharp.

I see Yan Klukowski has been released by Torquay. Decent player in his time.

Jamie Stephens (gK) released by Barnet. Possible target?

Charlie Clough also transfer listed. Hasn't worked out for him there unfortunately.

Makes sense, has had injury problems but a great keeper and a local lad

Interesting to review his career.
At FGR - 48 goals in 159 games.
Other clubs - 21 goals in 180 games.
Good strike rate for a midfielder at FGR, and decent career figures overall.
Compare this with a current midfielder who has played 70 games, scored 1 goal and no assists.

You might be at risk of comparing apples and oranges. I bet Ozzie's goals and assists stats are similar but you wouldn't leave him out would you?

Callum Evans has been offered a deal by promoted Macclesfield. In all honesty, I did not see enough of him to make a judgement. I recall him having an excellent first half in the season opener v Barnet, and playing well, when recalled, in the rain soaked match at Exeter that was abandoned at half time. Seems to have impressed at Moss Rose though. Not sure if Jared has been retained?

Hi
I am sure I just heard on R5 that Keiffer Moore is still Rotherham's top scorer for this season even though he went to Barnsley in Jan.
If this is true, I wonder, would he still qualify for any club top scorer award.

Hi
Possibly good news for Jonny Maxted, Chapman has left Accy on a free to Posh.

Both Kelly and Wedge were great for us at National League level and they can still do a decent job there but it seems that MC was right to let them go given we wanted EFL level - and presumably Wrexham and pining for that too.

Did not realise Wedge lived in Sheffield. Presumably in Ecotricity apartment when at FGR. Did he not think of moving nearer Wrexham - others do it?

Chesterfield looks a good bet for him then?

National League club Barrow have announced that manager Ady Pennock and his assistant Jamie Day have left the Cumbrian club.

So Jamie Day has been named as the coach to Bangladesh national team.

I have to admit that I'm not sure whether that's a promotion from Barrow or not!

The food is probably much better in Bangladesh than Barrow...so definitely one positive!

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
