World Cup Predictions

Postby NewForestRover » Tue May 29, 2018 7:20 pm

I've been using Predict Addict for ages (PL and Euro's) because they've always been reliable and also have mini-leagues.

I've set up a World Cup mini-league for us. Trying to beat each other will give us something to do while we're waiting for August.

Once registered for Predict Addict, you can edit your forename and surname to forum name (or anything else!)

Then click on mini-leagues and join.

Pin. no: 17037

No prizes. Just the prestige of winning.

The more the merrier!

I'm in.
I mean, it's not every day you get to consider whether Costa Rica can snatch a point against Serbia...

Only 14 days to register guys. The more the merrier.
It's free, entering predictions is easy and it's fun to try and finish top of the league and beat each other.

There must be others (who think they know about football) up for a challenge?!

OTC?
I'm sure you would like to even up the score! ;)

Google 'Predict Addict' and take it from there.
That's the method I used today.

As OTC said, just google it and register.

Then click on mini-leagues and join this one using pin no: 17037

Just remember that it's your forename and surname that is used in the league table so if you want to use your forum name put Get as your forename and Carter as your surname.

So far there are 15 of us competing in our league.

Anyone else?

When you enter your first round predictions, make sure you click 'update predictions' after doing so or they won't be saved.
I always leave the page and then return to it before I log out to make sure my predictions are still there!

I did as NFR suggested and checked that my forecasts had been registered, which they had.
While on site I checked the individual game stats [bottom left on each game] and not unsurprisingly discovered that my forecasts matched the general %.
For instance I forecast that England would win v Tunisia :D and the stats are:
 Prediction Stats
Tunisia 0.60%: Draw 5.67%: England 93.73%

England are 12:1 to win the world cup.

For those who don't understand betting:

If you bet £10 at 12:1 then you lose £10.

That's somewhere between 2 and 3 pints.....

You can predict your favorite teams but make your prediction based on numbers and analysis. My favorite team this time is France, I still support the German team but this time my heart is saying France will lift the world cup. I Watched the opening match between Saudia and Russia and was surprised to see Saudia getting done by 5 goals
I Stream FIFA world cup 2018 online in USA along with the opening ceremony on the internet with my family. It is a free method by which you can watch FIFA online Free. :geek:

To my mind a totally unexpected high score although I did forecast a Russia win.
I compete against around 30 players in a few different sites and it surprised me that five of the 30 forecasts 5-0.

Since then everybody has got at least one result wrong. Morocco should never have lost and I had them for a win.

Today my forecasts are France win, Peru/Denmark -draw, Argentina - win, Croatia - win.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
