Please leave some comments on current transport options

Postby stettim » Tue May 14, 2019 11:09 am

Hi FGR supporters,

We're a Masters research group that has been asked to explore ways to enhance the match-day experience by improving transport to and from the stadium. Please leave some comments below on current transport options or current travelling experience to and from the New Lawn.

And if you have 5 minutes spare, please fill out this survey and tell us your thoughts on that.

Your feedback is invaluable to us and all responses will be anonymous.

Thank you.

I walk up, walking with neighbours and away fans on route. I'm Lucky to live close to the ground. I would love to see the latest electric buses show cased from a park and ride, making it easier for others.

Hi Timb,

Thanks for asking! We are a Masters research group from Loughborough University who have been given a brief by Ecotricity to look at exploring ways to make the transport to the stadium both a better experience and more sustainable.

We're really keen on chatting to fans about their current experience of getting to and from the stadium to find out what's working for people and what's not.

If anyone is interested in this and happy to chat to us for 15-30 minutes we'd love to hear from people. You can either call Steph on 07749461053 or email me at stephanie.maskery@gmail.com to set up a time to suit.

Hope this helps!

Only took 3 mins

My suggestion would have been to break down the minimum journey time to less than 30 mins. We are a small club - a large majority, 70%+ probably, have a travel time under half an hour.

I did most of it but when asked for further comments I didn't have enough room to complain about the lack of 63 buses.

Next time can you please enable us to write in a big space (like this) rather than those silly strip things when you can't see or remember what you've already written.

Thank you.

Has anybody got any bright ideas rather than travelling individually by car?

From nailsworth to the new ground at j13, I'm thinking bike or maybe ebike along the cycle tracks.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
