Peter Crouch

I see Crouchie has retired but.....

Any chance of getting him to play an extra season at FGR DV.

I know he's a bit old but his ball skills are terrific and rarely found in a person of his stature - horizontally, that is ;)

I'm sure you could find an angle that would sell it to him at whatever we could afford.
My mileage; yours may vary, of course.....

Hoofing to Crouch or getting down the wing and crossing it in is the antithesis or Cooper’s passing game.

Except that he says he's fed up just being put on for 15 minutes to have balls hoofed at him. As for getting down the wing - isn't that what are wing-backs are supposed to do.

Crouchie is much more than his renowned heading ability. He plays well with the ball at his feet and is a very good passer of the ball.

Not sure he would quite match up to MC's idea of a signing, he is virtually twice the age of many who have arrived this summer...that said, he is a good player and I love his podcasts but I think we should respect his wish to retire from the game and leave it at that.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
