2019/20 Gloucestershire Senior Cup draw

Postby The Old TomCat » Sun Jul 14, 2019 2:57 pm

The draw was made earlier in month for the first round of the 2019/20 Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup.
Cheltenham Town are away to Slimbridge, who knocked them out on penalties at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in last season's competition.
Bristol City, who won the competition two seasons ago and therefore remain holders, have received a bye to the quarter-finals.
The competition was not completed last season, with Bristol City due to face the winners of Cinderford Town and Forest Green Under-23s in the final.
Both the winners of the Gloucestershire FA Trophy (Western League Cribbs FC) and the runners-up (Hellenic League Bishop's Cleeve) are involved in the competition this season.

Round One
Gloucester City v Cinderford Town
Bristol Manor Farm v Bristol Rovers Under-23s/Reserves
Slimbridge v Cheltenham Town Under-23s/Reserves
Cirencester Town v Yate Town
Mangotsfield United v Bishop's Cleeve

Byes:
Bristol City Under-23s/Reserves, Cribbs FC, Forest Green Rovers Under-23s/Reserves.

What was reason for Cinderford v FGR not being played last season?

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
