Gloucester City: latest news

Postby The Old TomCat » Sun Oct 06, 2019 6:25 pm

Gloucester City secured a 1-1 away draw at Whitby Town on Saturday in the FA Cup.
The BBC have written an extensive article about the club, from 2007 when they were flooded out of their home, to present when they are planning to return in the near future.

FGR and Fabien Roberts both get a mention.

Great article. I hope they get back to Gloucester soon. Interesting that Fabien has signed a 2 year deal with them.

as far as i am aware-i am wrong to link this to an ex -player thread ,but talking of decent midfield players sucg as Robert-does anyone know what the current situation is with Lloyd James .

as not advised to contrary-one assumes he is still picking up his salary and training with the club.

a good player-just seems a waste all around .

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
