Postby Pitchfork » Wed Jan 15, 2020 10:49 am

The ever popular GREEN DEVIL, the ambassador produced newsletter, has it's third edition of the season printed this week.

It will be distributed into 70 schools thanks to our ambassadors. Copies will also be available for supporters on the gate.

If you would prefer to read online then the Supporters Club have kindly reproduced on their site for fans to peruse at home.

As always feedback is appreciated.

Jolly good that P/F. Great also to be able put into practice their English language, observational and journalistic skills.

Thanks for that ChrisGump & Fartvs, I'll pass your compliments on to the editors Jono & Tyler Watson. The publication has been running for several years now, high standards in every issue.

It started as a single page news for the pupils at Eastington School (ironic that isn't it?). The quality and the popularity was so good, the club agreed to pay for printing so it could be distributed in every school that had ambassadors...and any others on request.

Jono and Tyler will be at the gate handing the Green Devils out before the Salford match. There are named packages for schools and single copies for any fans who want them. The publication is aimed at youngsters, but I'm sure most adults would like to have a peruse.

If you would like to pick up a dozen copies for your local library, workplace, community centre or pub leave a message on here or ask Jono on Saturday.

If you have read online and like what you see or have any suggestions for the next issue, you can pass on your thoughts to the editors at the gate.

About FGR

We’re a club that looks to the future, but our identity is forged from a rich 128-year history. Founded in 1889, we’re one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

In 2017, we were promoted to the Football League for the first time in our history – which means we can spread our sustainability message to an even bigger audience. FIFA recently described us as the greenest football club in the world. That’s quite an accolade, and it shows how we’ve been able to bring together football and environmental consciousness at the highest levels of the game.
